we used to be able to send surface mail to Asia from the U.S.
Now we are not able to do so.
I can send surface mail/packages from the P.R. China to the U.S. but cannot send surface mail from the U.S. to the P.R. China.
The post offfice people said that the containers for air mail were traveling
with low utilization. The elimination of surface mail was to force use
of the air transport.
Since airmail is very energy inefficient, it seems as though forcing
people to use an energy inefficient system is not in the best interests
of a U.S. petroleum independent energy policy.
In essence, we are forced to support an inefficient
system because poor choices were made by the U.S. Postal Service. Is that correct?
