Correcting ALL incoming power offers greater savings and protect

I haven't seen this issues addressed anywhere. If there was a way to correct all incoming power "in all commercial buildings instantly", what would the benefits in savings and protection mean? For savings, this of course would depend on how the billing is set up. Could you explain how our govt is billed for electricity, is it by KWH OR KVAH? As I understand it, since our govt is the largest user it would make more ...more »

Gas Prices & ‘Big’ Oil Companies

First off, has no one realized that we have been lucky enough to have a real ‘OIL BOOM’ going on in our back yard! I am pleased that some one in America is benefiting, but the oil companies are jumping through hoops and ladders to get in on this. Talk about profits and a supply that is no longer foreign. However, will the American people/USA Nation as a whole, profit from this...I hope so. The news web pages with the ...more »

surface mail and air mail

we used to be able to send surface mail to Asia from the U.S. Now we are not able to do so. I can send surface mail/packages from the P.R. China to the U.S. but cannot send surface mail from the U.S. to the P.R. China. The post offfice people said that the containers for air mail were traveling with low utilization. The elimination of surface mail was to force use of the air transport. Since airmail is ...more »

SolarEnergy powering from here

the cleanest form of energy for our planet. It also renews itself daily. Historically the challenge has been its efficiency rate, i.e. the energy output compared to the solar energy input, which has been uncommercially low. This is now changing as new materials yield substantial improvements. As a consequence the interest is now quickly growing for solar energy as a serious alternative source of energy. Manufacturers ...more »

Improving Results of Program Solicitations

This issue refers to your solicitation and process. In your recent solicitation (BEETIT), the first sentence states your department seeks " to develop energy efficient cooling technologies". The solicitation also states that you seek innovative solutions. You then proceed to limit the solicitation to very specific areas. There may be many more cost effective solutions in private sector development that your administration ...more »

BIOMASS alternative energy program solutions

A Potential Structure for Biomass Energy Production Incentives The existing programs for biomass energy production incentives for alternative energy production are complex, cross agencies, are continued and then discontinued, have varying deadline dates, and require approvals through a variety of unrelated Government agencies. Route planner

From having driven for a living I know that I could avoid slow downs and lights by knowing alternate turns I could make to avoid waiting at lights. A systematic approach to doing this might yield some efficiency gains that would be worth doing for GPS and route mapping.

Alt energy combined with Hydrogen.

I had a friend that worked in an nuclear power plant tell me that this type of energy plant runs full bore day and night and when the demand is low, they ground out the energy back into the earth! I have always felt that the US could lead the way to the future by moving toward a hydrogen transportation economy. Once we are established using hydrogen and electric vehicles, the rest of the world would be forced ...more »

Income-based grants for households to upgrade appliances

There are many energy-efficient appliances on the market today - HVAC systems, refrigerators, clothes washers and dryers, etc. - that are already saving people millions of dollars on their utility bills. Unfortunately, the Americans who would benefit most from these appliances are the Americans who are least able to afford to purchase and install them. An income-based grant program could help offset the purchase and ...more »
